St. Columba Necklace
Patron of Ireland, Scotland, poets and bookbinders. Columba, also known as Columcille, was in close succession to the throne of Ireland, but chose instead to become a monk. He was a missionary, stateman, scholar, and poet. He was one of the Twelve Apostles of Ireland and is said to have performed many miracles to convert the Picts to Christ. He died at the age of 75 and was buried at the abby he founded in Scotland. His relics are revered in both Ireland and Scotland where he is equally beloved.
Included with each pendant is a 32” braided rayon cord and gift packaging, including a descriptive card of the symbolism and lore of each design.
Each design is fired into the clay at 2200°F, producing remarkable clarity and ceramic-hard durability that will not peel or wear off. The pendant is surprisingly lightweight, finished to a satin touch and comfortable to wear.
